PhotobucketI have been reading a lot about Glenn Greenwald and David Sirota's phony love affair with Ron Paul. I must admit it is fascinating how the minds of these self proclaimed liberal wanna be caricatures take the bandwidth of the online community. Like them annoying little hairy things that gets in-between your teeth when you eat a mango, their phony liberal libertarian hyperbole have gotten in-between my teeth so here is how I floss out the many dishonesty and hyperbolic rhetoric I keep hearing God knows for how long.

Glenn Greenwald or David Sirota by any stretch of imagination are not people I follow because they are just not Liberals. I always find them a controversial read in blogs I frequent and often I find their ideology intellectually dishonest. Their aim: By any means necessary to paint President Obama in a negative light! Why? Because the choices made by the President is never radical enough to satisfy their ego and considering their consistent hyperbole attacks it seems as if their ego has been infected by a racists ideology like these people. In fact researching Glenn Greewald's writing at salon, his attacks on the President sure makes one to conclude that the venom he foams out of his mouth is not objective but personal and filled with hatred that he is welling to over look everything this President has done to get even for being called a Libertarian and racist. Well, as they say, you reap what you sow and everything Greenwald has been getting from the liberal circle is indeed deserving while he as usual religiously dismiss them with his idiotic non-stop rantings. The over the top rhetoric he spews to tarnish President Obama exaggerating the truth beyond recognition while you won't see him write remotely anything that is critical of the GOP says volume and you only have to scan through his recent articles to realize that.

Photobucket Greenwald's infatuation with less than a handful of Ron Paul's positions has made many people wake the hell up and take a second look about what he is all about and all for the right reasons. Greenwald believes Ron Paul's position on war, civil liberty and foreign policy is by far more progressive than the President's position and asserts that progressives are torn by Ron Paul's positions indirectly pushing his cowardly endorsement for Ron Paul since he feels Ron Paul is a better alternative to President Obama. Greenwald pretty much is fermenting that the GOP candidate Ron Paul is left of Obama on the issues that matters to him and as such Ron Paul should be embraced by liberals. Apparently in the eyes of Gleenwald, he wouldn't lose sleep over if President Obama is defeated in November 2012 by his most decorated GOP candidate, whom he thinks is the shit, while ignoring everything racists, segregationist, anti-women, and just simply anti-civil rights positions he embraces (Case in point, here, here, here and here), and at the same time he makes the worst kind of excuses for him -- oh, "they all have serious flaws". Right!

Greenwald had gotten a lot of attention during the Bush years because of his anti-war critic of Bush/Cheney lies and deceits and many horrific inhumane things they had done. In fact, I believe he despises the President for not prosecuting them. I must say I too would have liked to see them fools prosecuted and in jail but I ain't about to kneecap a Democratic President by casting him in the most tarnishing light so I can show I got some balls. This notion Greenwald appears to feel he owns the civil liberty issue is beyond me but surely he feels undermined by the President and he feels the President should listen to him because obviously the President's pragmatic approach is just not good enough for him. How dare he not listen to him or for that matter how dare liberals don't listen to him after all Greenwald is ardent defender of the SCOTUS’s Citizens United decision who believes the freedom of speech applies to PACS and Corporations -- oops, the foundering fathers are rolling over their graves. Right...that sure seem like a truly progressive ideals liberals would buy from some disingenuous concerned troll.

If President Obama had declared war on Iraq or Afghanistan, if he had authorized torture or its continuation, if he had not ended the illegal war in Iraq as he said he would, if the President is not trying to get out of Afghanistan responsibly, if he has not been trying to close Guantanamo while 90 Senators stand on his way, if the President hadn't reversed drone attacks in Pakistan and if he supports indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens I would say there could be legitimate and constructive criticism coming from all corners and rightly so. But, Greenwald's irrational attacks, exaggeration, misplaced anger and fabricated accusations to demonize a Democratic President, writing many deliberately deceptive pieces all along claiming he is a liberal Democrat and then wrap his arm around one of the most racists assholes, Ron Paul, makes Glenn Greenwald a quintessential prick if not the most egotistic libertarian mole. I would say to the Ron Paul's civil liberty position, my a$$ if he really is concerned about it when he is quite comfortable for States to violate the same civil liberties he claims to care for, so long as it is outside of the hand of the Federal Government like the way he wishes civil right laws should be left up to the States so that restaurants can put up the signs below in the name of civil liberty. Well, welcome back to the past, the world Glenn Greenwald embraces:

But again, Greenwald types of fools are all over this days and Tim Wise had this to say about them from his excellent must read article:
Yet to the so-called progressives who sing the praises of Ron Paul, all because of his views on domestic spying, bailouts for banksters, and military intervention abroad, the fact that 90 percent of his political platform is right-wing boilerplate about slashing taxes on the rich, slashing programs for the poor and working class, breaking unions, drilling for oil anywhere and everywhere, and privatizing everything from retirement programs to health care doesn’t matter: the fact that he’ll ostensibly legalize drugs is enough. And this is so, even though he has merely said he would leave drug laws up to the states (which means 49 separate drug wars, everywhere except maybe Vermont, so ya know, congrats hippies!), and he would oppose spending public money on drug rehab or education, both of which you’d need more of if drugs were legalized, but why let little details like that bother you? Yessir, legal weed and an end to the TSA: enough to make some supposed leftists ignore everything else Ron Paul has ever said, and ignore the fundamental incompatibility of Ayn Randian thinking with anything remotely resembling a progressive or even humane worldview. And this is so, even though he wouldn’t actually have the authority to end the TSA as president, a slight glitch that is conveniently ignored by those who are desperate to once again be able to take large bottles of shaving gel onto airplanes in the name of “liberty.”

I want those of you who are seriously singing Paul’s praises, while calling yourself progressive or left to ask what it signifies — not about Ron Paul, but about you — that you can look the rest of us in the eye, your political colleagues and allies, and say, in effect, “Well, he might be a little racist, but

...and those who think he might be a little racist, do you know by coddling with him what you are and who you are offending? Do you think 400 years of enslavement fighting against what Ron Paul stood for is something to overlook? Did you forget that the African American community are the most loyal base of the Democratic party and without them not a single liberal will ever have a chance to win an election unless of course that is exactly your intentions. It makes sense if you are a libertarian or a Republican to be body-body with Ron Paul but if you claim you are a Democrat and operating as a mole with callas and dishonest intentions, you might as well wear a white mask over your head and join David Duke who shares exactly all of Ron Paul's views. He will welcome you with open arms but don't tell us you are a liberal. Photobucket

And then we have the other disingenuous and codded David Sirota who just a few days ago literally declared the President with the same ole tired ass Ron Paul-is-better-than-the-President endorsement while he claims, oh...I am not endorsing Ron Paul BS in his article: Who’s a real progressive? Obama and Paul both hold positions anathema to liberals. Voters need to choose which ones to overlook:

Voters need to choose which ones to overlook??????????
The notion that someone remotely can even make that kind of assertion, a choice between President Obama and Racist Ron Paul says a lot about David Sirota not to mention his "I am a racist" self portrait to preemptively deny the legitimate charge that he is one of the moles who is attempting to court White Liberals into not voting for President Obama in the second term but of course...racist Ron Paul is by far the best candidate. Sirota trying to justify to his race-privileged followers into choosing a racist over President Obama writes:
To review the basic Paul profile: When it comes to government social spending and regulation, Paul is more antithetical to progressive goals than any candidate running for the White House. This is indisputable. At the same time, though, when it comes to war, surveillance, police power, bank bailouts, cutting the defense budget, eliminating corporate welfare and civil liberties, Paul is more in line with progressive goals than any candidate running in 2012 (or almost any Democrat who has held a federal office in the last 30 years). This, too, is indisputable.

In seeing Paul’s economic views, positions on a woman’s right to choose, regulatory ideas and ties to racist newsletters as disqualifying factors for their electoral support, many self-identified liberal Obama supporters are essentially deciding that, for purposes of voting, those set of issues are simply more important to them than the issues of war, foreign policy, militarism, Wall Street bailouts, surveillance, police power and civil liberties — that is, issues in which Paul is far more progressive than the sitting president.

The fact Sirota just like Greenwald forgets that Ron Paul stands against every single thing that matters to liberals except a handful of tiny issues which Ron Paul arrived through the wrong process, pushing convenient rhetoric about the rights of the individual or the rights of States, resenting the federal Government, which is all to enable white supremacy and stripping federally fought rights to tar and destroy every liberal issues that matter to African Americans, women, minorities and poor Americans who are always loyal liberal voting block. Damn right those issues are by far important and fundamentally critical for the majority of the Democratic voters that are the real "base". To undermine those issues and coddle with Ron Paul because of two or three issues is certainly a picture perfect display of a dishonest fake liberalism. Tim Wise said it best:
When you support or give credence to a candidate, you indirectly empower that candidate’s worldview and others who hold fast to it. So when you support or even substantively praise Ron Paul, you are empowering libertarianism, and its offshoots like Ayn Rand’s “greed is good” objectivism, and all those who believe in it. You are empowering the fans of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, in which books they learn that altruism is immoral, and that only the self matters. You are empowering the reactionary, white supremacist, Social Darwinists of this culture, who believe — as does Ron Paul — that that Greensboro Woolworth’s was right, and that the police who dragged sit-in protesters off soda fountain stools for trespassing on a white man’s property were justified in doing so, and that the freedom of department store owners to refuse to let black people try on clothes in their dressing rooms was more sacrosanct than the right of black people to be treated like human beings. [...]

[...]I mean, seriously, if “raising important issues” is all it takes to get some kind words from liberal authors, bloggers and activists, and maybe even votes from some progressives, just so as to “shake things up,” then why not support David Duke? With the exception of his views on the drug war, David shares every single view of Paul’s that can be considered progressive or left in orientation. Every single one. So where do you draw the line? Must one have actually donned a Klan hood and lit a cross before his handful of liberal stands prove to be insufficient? Must one actually, as Duke has been known to do, light candles on a birthday cake for Hitler on April 20, before it no longer proves adequate to want to limit the overzealous reach of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms? Exactly when does one become too much of an evil fuck even for you? Inquiring minds seriously want to know.

It is now fair to say that some vocal critics of the President and their followers lack the knowledge and the depth of the anti-racist, anti-women and anti-equality work many had struggled for hundreds of years that made up the liberal party. May be they do know but choose to hide behind the overused narrative that if you voted for Democrats, you are denouncing racism, embracing equality and social justice while at the same time the same people cater and embrace Ron Paul's bigoted ideals because when it comes down to it, none of these issues affect them. They will deny their race-privilege behind selective policy criticism of the President giving themselves no room for self-examination.

Don't get me wrong...fair criticism of the President is quite understandable but I have never seen the kind of political discourse that is so hateful towards any President both from the right and so called professional left. However, in the face of so much adversity, President Obama has been nothing but a true grown up with incredible leadership quality who threads carefully to do what he has to do to make progress with the cards he is dealt with. I also have not seen a President so dedicated and on top of all of the issues this country faces, trying his very best to clean up the mess that was handed to him by past Presidents.

He took office with so many challenges where the country was losing 700,000 jobs a month, "two wars, the worst economic crisis since the depression, America's standing in the world at the lowest point in history, a country that had been misled into accepting the use of torture of prisoners of war, a health care system in free fall, an educational system in free fall, a global environmental crisis of history-altering proportions", an auto industry in shambles, a skyrocketing debt owned by foreign Countries, a deregulated financial industry that help loot America, high gas price, increased dependency in foreign oil, mistrust of American value in the world and so many other challenges. With all these challenges facing him, President Obama has been nothing but gracious to the haters and bigots while doing his thing. His accomplishments are implacable but some think Ron Paul could do these things better or better yet watch these videos here, here, here and here.

I believe it is important for "self anointed righteous progressives" to re-evaluate and assess the litmus test on the progress made by this President and start giving our President some respect for the things he had done collectively to date because he deserves it. He has earned it. Instead of dressing him down in public for no good reason except to belittle his standing or stature, we ought to start protecting one of our own from lies, deceit and contemptuous rhetoric spewed by a small number of people without the slightest concern for the majority of unprivileged Americans and their well being except for advancing their personal crusade. We must start saying enough and protect our own.

It is time shape and guide our ideologies using our conscious mind and be grounded rather than use our subconscious mind that is reactionary and often misses the big picture of governing a great nation. I often believe harsh critics of this President who are hell bent in throwing the kitchen sink at him day in and day out have lost the battle within themselves where their subconscious mind has outsmarted and outdone their conscious intellect losing any credibility and legitimacy one might have left in them.
