Monday evening open thread—Will the last treason-weasel turn off the lights?
Well, I know, it’s very foolish of me to even think of posting this after the past two hours we’ve had. But let’s recap, shall we?
Rudy Giuliani gets subpoenaed by three House committees.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was listening in on that fateful Ukraine call, proving him to have been lying about his role for a week.
Dotard pressured the Australian prime minister to discredit the Australian diplomat whose conversation with Coffee Boy was the first bread crumb in l’affaire Russe.
Attorney General Billy Bob Barr has been traveling the world trying to get foreign intelligence agencies to discredit the Mueller report.
And dipshit Trump supporter Stacey Dash was arrested over the weekend in Florida for laying hands on her husband.
(That final item is just for shits and giggles.)
I’m not even going to try and analyze any of this at the moment, as I’m soon wending off to visit my wife in hospital. But boy howdy. The question now isn’t if Mitch McConnell can protect Trump in any eventual Senate trial. The question is if McConnell’s party will be reduced to such a minority that it can’t filibuster any bills put forth by a new Democratic government.
Strap in, folks. I know for sure tomorrow will be even more bonkers. Have a single malt and a slice of pizza.
