Friday open thread—Trump gets his performance review
So, Donald Trump and his boss Vladimir Putin had a one hour call today, where they discussed various and numerous topics. Among which was the Mueller report, according to NBC News.
President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke Friday and both agreed "there was no collusion" between Moscow and Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said.
Sanders said that the two briefly discussed special counsel Robert Mueller's report "essentially in the context of that it's over and there was no collusion." She added that she was "pretty sure both leaders were very well aware of (the Mueller report's finding) long before this call took place" because it was "something we've said for the better part of two and a half years."
“We’re in the clear, Mr. Vladimir!”
“Good, Donald, good. Now, let’s discuss next year’s campaign. I have a few ideas.”
“Anything you say, Mr. Vladimir!”
Trump couldn’t act any guiltier were he wearing a flashing neon sign saying “traitor”. This is our reality: we have a Russian asset squatting in the White House, and it’ll take all of us as active citizens to oust him. And we have to be prepared for isolated blowback from his followers if he loses next year or is otherwise removed from office. We’ve already seen Trump-inspired terrorism. Removing him will not be pretty, but it is essential for the future of the Republic.
