NDP cucks Trump
Well, some late breaking news.
The day has been dominated by Nancy Pelosi telling Donald Trump to go fornicate himself at any idea that he can just show up and give his State of the Union speech after she said that it shouldn’t go ahead with the government shut down. Just now, seeing defeat, Trump actually backed down. (Read tweets from the bottom up.)
Read the tweets. Really read them. He’s had to do something he’s never had to do before: admit that someone has power over him.
He recognizes that Speaker Pelosi holds all the cards as far as the speech goes. He legally can’t go to the chamber of the House of Representatives without an invitation by the Speaker.
His digs at her in the tweets—SHE WELCHED!!—are pathetic. No zingers. No one-liners. No spittle flecked rage. He’s subdued. He may, at long last, realize that he has none of the power he thought he had.
He’s still doing his huckster jig. He’s still promising a “great” speech at a later date. And this is typical. He can never finish anything in the now. It’s all about future promise, future plans. Everything is always just around the corner.
This, I can state, is a major first. Trump has admitted defeat. He tries to blame Pelosi for reneging on her invitation, but no reading of these tweets can hold unless it accepts that he was defeated, and he knows he lost. These tweets are the whimpers of someone beaten for the leadership of the chimpanzee tribe. He’s submissive, trying to get into Pelosi’s good graces.
This is just the beginning. By the time that we hound him out of public life and into prison, he’ll be a broken man.
