Open thread—Rod Rosenstein to be fired?
Well, the New York Times did it.
It allowed itself to again be used in a partisan, internecine fight. Much like Dick Cheney planting a story in the Times ginning up the Iraq War, and then using that article as proof for why we needed to invade Iraq, last Friday the Times published a hit piece on Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein sourced by his enemies in the Department of Justice. Rosenstein is now at the White House, with the scuttlebutt being that he’ll be fired.
What does this mean for the Mueller investigation? If Rosenstein does get fired, here is his replacement:
I have no idea what this may mean for Bob Mueller. But we wouldn’t even be had the Times not allowed itself to be juked as in the run-up to the Iraq War.
Meanwhile, of course, Kavanaugh is imploding, with women coming out an accusing him of sexual abuse. But her emails, amirite?
