They dare not call it "terrorism"
I will not name the Austin bomber save to say that as police closed in on him he blew himself up like the coward he was. It's also why the graphic is of the two of his victims who he managed to murder.
My concern is that the regime currently in power doesn't recognize this terrorist spree as terrorism. The perpetrator wasn't Muslim, or black, or Latino. He was a home-schooled, devoutly Christian white male. So of course that doesn't register in the annals of "terrorism".
The fact is that radical Christian white terrorism, in this country at least, has been responsible for the majority of deaths due to terrorism since the 9/11 attacks. But when it's a white man slaughtering innocents, it's termed as "mental illness", not as what it is.
So while we breathe a sigh of relief for our brothers and sisters in Austin, the fact remains that this sort of thing is only encouraged by the current regime's lackadaisical attitude to violence which doesn't stem from the usual suspects. I'm sure if Trump had met the bomber before his spree, he would have regarded him as a "very fine person".
