This really IS the best infrastructure week ever!

Wow.

So, as the graphic heading this piece says, things did escalate pretty quickly.

We began the day with the news of Maria Butina turning state’s evidence and apparently giving up all the goods on Russia, Trump, the GOP, and the NRA.

Oh, but that was merely an appetizer.

For a quick rundown of today’s blockbusters, this tweet captures it all:

Add into this that Trump again didn’t come down from the residence to work for the entire morning, and his rambling, incoherent interview on Fox News, and we have the evidence of an administration with the wheels not just coming off, but off and skidding into a ravine.

Oh, and for a few moments, Jared Kushner was being bandied about as Trump’s new chief of staff. Of course, this sort of nepotism is illegal. But even Jared wants nothing to do with this.

And it’s only 6:30 pm on the East Coast as of this writing. And it’s only Thursday. Things tend to drop on Fridays.

What is obvious is that, finally, pressure is ramping up on the Trump regime. It’s as if everyone was holding their breath awaiting the results of the midterms. Now that Democrats will take over the House, the floodgates are opening. The country’s institutions, which many thought would be easily subverted by the regime, are proving more than resilient. Even judges Trump appointed are ruling against him, as with the judge who threw out the Maine election case.

We’re not out of the dark yet. But there will definitely be a dawn. And Trump may become the first sitting president to be indicted and jailed.

If he only hadn’t come down that escalator.
