The news is dominated by the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi by a Saudi hit squad inside the Kingdom’s consulate in Istanbul. Can it be said that Khashoggi is just the latest victim of a secret treaty drawn up by two diplomats, one British and one French, to carve up the Middle East after the Ottoman Empire was dispatched in World War I?
