Weekend self-care, part the second: John Lewis
UK retailer John Lewis (not to be confused with American treasure John Lewis) has had a tradition since 2007 of putting out Christmas ads. It's become such a tradition that the debut of the year's ad unofficially signals the beginning of the festive season in the UK.
These ads have wistfulness and melancholia about them, but in the end they're all life-affirming. They tug at your heart-strings, and leave you with a warm glow.
