Krugman: Fauxgressives Like You And Firebaggers Do Not Represent Progressivism or Liberalism

This whole thing got started when our own Deaniac83 here at thepeoplesview.net, criticized Paul Krugman's immature off the cuff analysis of the debt ceiling deal in the article titled, Paul Krugman is a Political Rookie. Or How Barack Obama Left John Boehner Holding the Teabag, Again. , where Deaniac83 pretty much made the Nobel prize winning Economist regret he wrote the article The President Surrenders a day before all the facts were out.

An OFA director from New Mexico State, Ray Sandoval read the article by Deaniac83 and sent an email message to supporters encouraging everyone to take 5 minutes to read it and specifically wrote:

"I know many of you have raised frustrations, but please, I implore you, please take 5 minutes and read the article below. It does a great job of explaining the Debt Ceiling deal,"
Huffington Post as usual reports the sharing of a legitimate and excellent analysis with a sensationalized article titled:
Obama Campaign Staffer Sends Out Email Bashing Paul Krugman And The 'Firebagger Lefty Blogosphere'
The Queen of the Firebaggers Jane Hamsher at FDL reports with another how dare you criticize and try to correct Paul Krugman's ignorance rant titled:
OFA Director Attacks “Firebagger Lefty Blogosphere,” says “Paul Krugman is a Political Rookie”
I am not about to give FDL a click so I won't link to the article by Jane Hemshere but will share two paragraphs from her article that is very telling of how far removed she is from the political reality as she tries to claim there is a pattern by the Democratic Party to silence her irrelevant voice from foaming at the mouth:
The California Democratic Party just refused to renew the charter of the largest caucus in the party, the Progressive [Fauxgressive] Caucus, after they passed a resolution calling for a primary challenge to Obama in 2012. So this isn’t an isolated incident. It’s clear that the the Democrats want to marginalize liberals in 2012 for basically promoting the same values and saying the same things we’ve said during every presidency since time immemorial.

But if this is a brilliant political strategy on the part of OFA, someone is going to have to explain it to me. I know the goal is to attract the much-prized Independent for 2012. But who do they think is keeping Obama’s poll numbers afloat? Emphasis mine

Sounds like the revolting Miz Jane as usual is lying about how President Obama's numbers are afloat claiming indirectly it is because of firebaggers, a claim that is utter bullshit because we know what fauxgressives like her have been doing to drag down this President since his inauguration. May be what she needs to see is this graph with 72% liberal approval of the President, 30 points higher than his overall approval rating of 42% and learn that Liberals unlike her have kept the President afloat. Here is what Frank Newport, editor in chief of the Gallup Poll said about the unprecedented nature of Obama polling:
"Looking at history, particularly Clinton and Reagan, it is somewhat surprising that [Obama] has never yet fallen into the 30 percent range in our approval rating," Newport said. "And yet both Reagan and Clinton, in their first terms when the economy was perceived as bad ... both fell into the 30s."

Newport noted, "Satisfaction with the way things are going is ... correlated with economic perceptions fairly strongly." At the same time, Obama "is overperforming. Based on where every president has been, his approval rating now is higher than we would predict it to be based on" how satisfied American adults say they are.

Another article by Greg Sargent at the Plum Line titled, Does Obama camp see upside in pissing off the left? notes:
this story does provide a window into what I think is a real problem — the nature of the Obama team’s frustration with liberal critics. The problem is that some on the Obama team don’t reckon with what it is lefty critics are actually saying. Obama advisers get angry when they think liberal critics are refusing to accept the limits placed on him by current political realities, and when lefties presume at the outset that Obama will inevitably sell out. That’s reflected in Sandoval’s angry email and in other periodic explosions of anger at the “professional left.”

I would like to say I am an unapologetic Obama supporter and I am not frustrated with this so called liberal critics because they don't exemplify what true liberalism is all about and especially on how to make progress as such in my opinion they are just attention seeking self promoting "political rookies".

Considering what has been an out of control coordinated attack on Ray Sandoval who happened to be an OFA Director, which by the way is a typical tactic these same people will go through to kneecap this Administration by association, the email was sent out to OFA members/supports so that folks would be informed about the details to the debt ceiling deal but note that no one is discussing the merit of the article by Deaniac83.

However, the Obama campaign is now going on the record distancing itself from the email and according to what a campaign spokesman, Katie Hogan said, “The views expressed in this email do not represent the views of the campaign”.

And then, Paul Krugman yesterday writes, throwing this meme that the President is Hippie Punching the fauxgressives showing again why the left is nothing but jealous of the influence the Tea Party has in the Republican Party as they want to act and think like teabaggers and how they are lashed upon:

I would say this: on one side you have the GOP, which responds to completely crazed Tea Party demands by doing all it can to assure the hard right that it’s on its side. On the other, you have the Democratic establishment or at least part thereof, which responds to complaints from its own base that it’s going too easy on the crazies by lashing out at the base, with a bit of bearded-professor bashing on the side.

Save me the hypocrisy Krugman, you ain't the "base".

Do we hear of any mention of why Krugman is called a political rookie or about the substance and analysis on the debt deal in that email? Hell no.

Does Fauxgressives Keith Olbermann even try to address how horribly wrong Krugman's "The President Surrenders" analysis was? Hell no but he calls Ray Sandoval, New Mexico's OFA director, the worst Persons in the world for sharing material that gutted out Krugman's incompetence and rookie analysis. Watch it for yourself how substance-less the smear has gone viral: I don't know about you but I am sick and tired of being sick and tired about these so called self adoring critics like Krugman, Hamsher, Greenwald, Green, Cenk, Huffington, etc, that are always the holier than thou critics who just don't understand being progressive is all about making progress. In fact, I will officially call these people Fauxgressives and let me explain what Fauxgressives stand for:

Fauxgressives...

Their ideology is always to tar pragmatism and seems to embrace libertarian extremist. Sort of what we see from the far Right ideologues.

Their political strategy is smearing anything President Obama supports. They will bend over backwards to tear down the President than build the country up incrementally.

There is no kind of compromise that is acceptable with these people. Just like teabaggers, it's their way or the highway but in the process no hesitation about throwing the country down the gutter. They have no remorse to seeing millions suffer to accomplish their narrow minded political games. Case in point, trying to kill Health Care Reform Bill because it did not include Public Option, etc.

There is no healthy fact-based debate that will come out of the fauxgressives now adays except spending their time spewing divisive rhetoric and promoting the meme that the President is a Republican mole who is in the pocket of wall street, etc.

They will be critical of any and all of President Obama's policies but we cannot be critical of opinion writers like Krugman and if we are, we are the dumbest motherfuckers in the world according to the fauxgressive Jane "blackface" Hamsher.

Damn right Paul Krugman is a political rookie. Does he know anything about governing? Has he been in the streets organizing? Has he held a political office at the local level? Hell no but likes to foam at the mouth nonstop with his holier than thou narrative spinning anything that could be pressived as good supplying his fauxprogressive followers ammunition to stomp on the President. The proof is all in the pudding. You can scoop and eat the pudding until you have enough.

Their belligerent, take no responsibility for anything, insulting, condescending, marginalizing and belittling attitude of those who disagree with them in approach and tactic is justified regardless of its consequence and honestly I think they have accepted spreading hatred and propaganda to hurt a seating President as the norm in their political discourse as they have literally banned President Obama out of the party.

Often their sole purpose to being on-line in progressive sites is to bitch without any supporting facts to back their claim and if asked to provide facts they will toss out ideas that won't have a fraction of a chance to pass legislatively or choose outright rumor based smears to support their bogus claims. The sad part of all this is that they are totally unconcerned about Rick Perry and them racists Republicans so long as they have President Obama politically destroyed.

Well, here is the deal...

You can lie about, whine about and smear this Administration. We will set the record straight.

You can pester us to feel empowered. We will continue to prove you wrong.

You can make us a punching bag for your sensationalized frustration because President Obama did not use the magic wand to fix all of your personal problems. We will punch back and try to make sense to you with reasoned facts. Not with facts based on rumors or manufactured outrage.

You can blame us for your failed activist strategies, incompetence and irrelevance to effect change. We will show you how to organize and effect the change we have been waiting for.

Please do know that you are not about to get away with this projecting that you are the voice of progressives because you are not. We are going to make sure and let progressives know that you are not the voice of liberalism nor the "base" and prove how removed you are from the reality.

We are going to let you know that you are no Frederick Douglass kind of activists.

If you choose to swim in a cesspool of substance-less articles and complain and become irrelevant, fine by me. But, don't call yourself progressive activists. You are not. Fauxgressives is more fitting.

You can whine day in and day out. We will be here to tell on you the truth that the way to make headway is pragmatically in our current political landscape unless you are pushing to aid Republican candidate Perry or Romney to power. Yes, we know many of you who would rather see a Republican win in 2012. I say don't you have no shame?

You are not going to have monopoly by getting ride of strong voices with the coordinated attacks to silence President Obama's supporters.

You have succeeded in the past but rest assured that ain't going to happen to us anymore because the stakes are too high and the real "base" has realized that you don't speak for them.

You can bemoan your existence and project your significant. That's on you because trying to pull and drag us down will make you insignificant and we won't let that be.

If you are out there questioning every single decision this President has made or will be making to take him personally in the process drag this country down; please chill out and let the "grown ups" in the room find workable solutions to fix America’s problems you care so much about fixing because when all is said and done Organize for America (OFA) is in the business of electing more and better Democrats unlike some so called progressive activists behind a computer punching the living day lights out of their keyboard.
