The liberal left has been figuratively lynching President Obama for his failure to fulfill his promises to closing the Guantanamo illegal prison. However, last week, the Democrat Majority House of Representatives voted 212-206 in favor of a spending bill that excluded a funding to close the Guantanamo Bay prison for suspected terrorists in 2011.
The legislation prohibits President Barack Obama from spending any money to transfer prisoners to US soil or to acquire facilities to hold them on US soil. It also explicitly bars the transfer of the confessed Al-Qaeda mastermind of the September 11 attacks Khalid Sheik Mohammed to the US mainland or US territories. The decision to undo these betrayal of the Presidents' promise as of yesterday was up to the Senate but what do you think happened?
Senate voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to put the brakes on closing the Guantanamo detention facility and any future plans by President Barack Obama to transfer prisoners to U.S. soil. The 90-6 roll call follows similar action in the House last week, and Obama is left with no new money to go forward on a signature issue for him — and less flexibility than when he first made his request this spring. So the $80 million is stripped and there is no closure of the Guantanamo naval base illegal prison that currently holds 170 detainees. But wait it is all Obama's fault and even the Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) went there blaming the President for lack of plan not that she even mentioned that the Acquittals of detainees harm the trials in the US narrative, or the fact that the Second-ranking House Dem objection to transfer suspects mattered, or the objection of Sen. Sessions for the plan to transfer detainees to Jihadi rehab center in Saudi Arabia was a factor, or the fact the GOP assertion that Illinois will become “ground zero for Jihadist terrorist plots, recruitment and radicalization” is even pointed but it is all Obama's fault. Gutless fucking lawmakers! Blame it all on Obama when you can't even take responsibility for your own failure. Here the reminder to all:
The president vowed during his 2008 quest for the White House to shutter the notorious facility, and even signed an executive order shortly after taking office to do so, but ran into unyielding opposition from the US Congress.Could that be the same old opposition that is caused by fear placed by Republicans? When do Democrats learn to stand for their principle or is it the President that is so unprincipled all the time? This is the political environment we live in where The People's View don't matter to politicians on the most basic fundamental Human Rights issue. Can someone stop blaming the President for everything?
