Dominance

Dominance

In the image above it is clear that President Obama is dominant and Putin is retreating and you can see fear in Putin's eyes. With Putin and his ilk everything is about dominance and people like Putin are always in a battle with other alpha males for dominance. People like Putin never want to display weakness because if they do they cede their position of dominance. In the image above Putin has ceded his position of dominance.

What dominance means to Putin is having power and control over others and being in the position to exploit everyone and everything. What dominance means to President Obama is something entirely different. Putin is about his power and President Obama is about shared power. They have a completely different definition of power and each definition would create an entirely different outcome.

On the whole individual power at the expense of the group has been the defining power and it has caused tremendous suffering. Those who believe in individual power at the expense of the group do not want to give up their dominance very easily and what we have seen in the past for the most part has been a struggle between alpha males for the same type of dominance.

The image above is so significant because the alpha male must not show weakness or retreat because if they do they will have given up their position of dominance and that is what has taken place in this image. Putin has ceded his dominance to President Obama. This image represents the realization by Putin that his time is up. Somewhere in him he knows that his ability to dominate everything is over and because the alpha male will not give up power easily we are seeing Putin fighting for survival in his actions in this country and around the world.

The same thing that has happened to Putin has also happened with the GOP and all who have invested themselves in the same lust for dominance. The rise of President Obama represents a more enlightened sense of power and they are in reaction to the presence of this type of power. What that they have invested in is dying and that is causing them to flail around like a fish out of water that has lost its capacity to breathe. They are fighting for survival.

The image above might seem to be just an image but the reality is that this image represents a defining moment. It represents that we are in a time of the redefinition of power. It is understandable that there are those who would be in doubt of this because if you look at the effectiveness of Putin's actions and you look at who appears to be holding the power in this country it appears that we are going in the opposite direction but what we are seeing is the death of an old way of being. It is painful to live through because everything seems so unstable but in times of change the old way of being is collapsing and the new way of being is just beginning to be established so it makes sense that we would be experiencing what appears to be chaos and instability.

The time for change has come. The image above is the confirmation of it. It is a time for people to get off the fence. It is the time for those who are longing for this change and grateful for this change to play an active part in the resistance. It is up to each individual to find their place in the resistance which is growing and will continue to grow as more and more people begin to appreciate the difference between dominance and shared power and as people grow to understand that the only viable path forward is through shared power.
