Today, former CIA director John Brennan is testifying before the House Intelligence Committee. The testimony has been explosive. He confirmed that Russian intelligence subverted "US persons" in its effort to interfere with the 2016 elections. It's exactly what Donald Trump and the GOP didn't want to hear. After the open hearing, Brennan will testify in a closed-door session, which should provide even more information.
Also, news broke that Sir Roger Moore has passed away. Mentioning this may seem frivolous in light of everything which is happening, but he was the first James Bond I knew, so he'll always have a special place in my cultural heart. My favorite movie of his, however, wasn't any of the Bond outings, but a film he made in 1979 titled "ffolkes", in which he plays a freelance, misogynistic, cat-loving special forces operative enlisted by the British to take back a North Sea oil rig.
