No, there won't be a mass insurrection of Trumpanzees. But there might very well be isolated attacks like the one we saw today. Donald Trump has worked up his idiots to such an extent that more than a few of them will decide to wage war against a state they see as illegitimate. The Department of Homeland Security report warning of the dangers of right wing extremism is coming to life this election cycle.
But that's to be expected. When white nationalists and the KKK support a major party candidate, and that candidate fails to win, the blowback will be fierce. Fifty years of the Southern strategy has led to this: The GOP is nothing more than an expression of white aggrievement. It can no longer pretend it's anything else. And it seems fine with being that.
November 8 will be the end of one battle. The war will continue.
