Again, allow me to reiterate how rare this is. I certainly can't recall an instance of it in modern US political history. A sitting US president is actively campaigning for the nominee of his party to succeed him. Reagan didn't do it for GHW Bush. GW Bush didn't do it for John McCain. And Al Gore, bless his heart, basically ran away from Bill Clinton.
Having a man with a 57% approval rating in your corner cannot be overstated. Hillary Clinton has several legs to stand on. But as we all know, she knows the value of hot sauce.
